AADD assists individuals living with developmental disabilities to live, attend school, work, socialize in their communities and create opportunities for a meaningful life.  AADD supports their families and engage communities to make their goals happen. 

ADA National Network

Through its ten regional centers, the ADA National Network provides information, guidance and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Our services are tailored to meet the needs of business, government and individuals at local, regional and national levels. 

Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks has grown into the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Briggs and Associates

Briggs and Associates works with individuals with disabilities, focusing on assistance in finding jobs for their clients, as well as assisting their clients in becoming active social and economic contributors in their communities.

FOCUS

FOCUS offers comfort, hope, and fun to families with children who are medically fragile or have significant developmental or physical disabilities through a variety of programs.

The Georgia Advocacy Office is The Independent, Federally-Mandated Protection and Advocacy System for People with Disabilities in Georgia.

Parent to Parent of Georgia

Parent to Parent of Georgia provides support and information services and training and leadership opportunities for families who have children and youth with disabilities.

Social Security Administration

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources. SSI benefits also are payable to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits. People who have worked long enough may also be able to receive Social Security disability or retirement benefits as well as SSI. 

SPECTRUM

Spectrum Autism Support Group was established in the fall of 1998 for families, friends and teachers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) within Gwinnett County, Georgia and the surrounding metro area. We are a parent operated group whose mission is to provide support, education and resources encompassing the entire spectrum of ASD for children and adults. Spectrum currently serves over 1,000 families in the metro Atlanta area. 

Work Incentives Planning and Assistance

The goal of the WIPA program is to enable beneficiaries with disabilities to make informed choices about work, and to support working beneficiaries to make a successful transition to self-sufficiency.

Annandale Village

Annandale Village of Suwanee is an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated solely to providing progressive life assistance to adults with intellectual disabilities and traumatic brain injuries so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain their independence in the least restrictive environment.

enAble of Georgia, Inc.

enAble of Georgia provides support to people with special needs, through a variety of programs and services. Their goal is to enable individuals with special needs to lead fulfilled lives - physically, intellectually, and socially.                

Georgia Community Supports and Solutions

Georgia Community Support and Solutions (GCSS) is a community based non-profit organization that provides services to people with developmental disabilities, as well as support to their families.

Just People, Inc.

“Just” People, Inc. is a private not for profit agency that provides a wide variety of support services to adults with developmental disabilities (Downs, Autism, Aspergers, MMR and Learning Disabilities), people with Mental Illnesses and Head Injury. The program which was developed in the Fall of 1995, works with people who are considered “high-functioning”, people who do not need bathing, feeding and dressing. Support services are provided in Metro Atlanta, serving people in Gwinnett, Fulton, Cobb and Dekalb County. 

People Making Progress

People Making Progess provides quality services so that adults with developmental disabilities may work, live and thrive in the community to their fullest potential.   

St. Mary's Independent Living Extension

St. Mary's Independent Living Extension (SMILE) is a nonprofit organization of trained caregivers who work around-the-clock to enrich the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by maximizing independence, breaking down barriers and advocating for greater community access.

    Creative Enterprises, Inc. 

    Creative Enterprises a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Lawrenceville, GA dedicated to assisting adults with disabilities and others with barriers to employment in maximizing their potential. We offer a variety of programs and services to help these individuals obtain an optimal level of social, vocational, and economic independence!

    Georgia CommunitySupports and Solutions Day Program

    GCSS Day Programs include the Marietta Enrichment Center (MEC), the Georgia Adult Autism Program (GAAP), the Gwinnett Enrichment Center (GEC), Art & Food, and Our Place.

    Hi Hope Service Center

    Located in suburban Atlanta, GA, in the city of Lawrenceville, Hi-Hope supports adults with developmental disabilities in Gwinnett County. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board of directors.

    Just People, Inc. Day Program

    The Day Program was developed to assist individuals that did not work or still lived with family to have a place to go during the weekdays and be among friends, learn skills to help them move forward and to have the opportunity to go out into the community. It is open to people in the ILP of "Just" People, people who live in group homes with other programs and people who still live with family.

    New Directions Georgia, Inc.

    New Directions of Georgia, Inc provides an individual focused vocational, behavioral day program which offers support and services designed to meet each individual’s needs and preferences based on goals outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP). The program promotes Self Advocacy and Independence while teaching Creative Arts; Literacy Development; Cooking Skills; Health and Well Being; Job and Leisure skills while participating in real world tasks with age appropriate peers.

    Next Step Ministries

    Next Step Ministries a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Woodstock, Georgia geared towards helping individuals with special needs/ disabilities and their families in a loving and safe Christian environment.

    The Next Stop

    The Next Stop encourages and supports individual personal growth in the areas of self-confidence, social skills, life application skills, and awareness, through planned activities and interaction for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities, high level autism, or mild brain injuries.

    Camps/Leisure/Sports

    ALTA Wheelchair League

    The ALTA Wheelchair Tennis League is made up of men and women 16 years of age and older and plays during the spring and fall seasons out of a centrally located tennis facility.  Each season lasts seven weeks ending in a City Championship.

    American Association of AdaptedSports Programs

    The American Association of Adapted Sports Programs, Inc. works in partnership with education agencies in the U.S. to establish programs, policies, procedures, and regulations in interscholastic adapted sports for students with physical disabilities; provides services to Local Education AgenciesState High School Associations and State Departments of Education in extracurricular adapted athletics for physically disabled children attending grades 1-12; and improves student well-being while positively influencing total student development.

    Blaze Sports America

    BlazeSports America’s mission is to change the lives of children and adults with physical disabilities through sport. 

    Camp Twin Lakes

    Camp Twin Lakes provides week-long summer camps and year-round weekend retreats at three fully-accessible and medically-supportive campsites, daycamps, and through hospital-based Camp-To-Go programs.

    Chastain Horse Park Therapeutic Program

    Chastain Horse Park is a premier equestrian facility dedicated to serving riders of all skill levels including riders with cognitive, physical or mental disabilities through its Therapeutic Program. The program develops and strengthens skills in the areas of awareness, focus, leadership, team playing, confidence, coordination, courage, friendships and fun along with superb hunter equitation skills and abilities.

    Dream Power Therapeutic Equestrian Center

    DreamPower Therapeutic Equestrian Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization working with physically and mentally challenged clients from age 3 to 80. Dream Power offers therapeutic, sport and recreational horseback riding in our covered and outdoor arenas as well as on our beautiful trails. 

    Driving Magic

    Driving Magic is a non-profit organization providing therapeutic and recreational equine-assisted activities for children and adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

    Exceptional Kids Athletics Inc.

    To provide the special needs population and their families a safe and nurturing environment in which special needs professionals and athletic professionals will educate, encourage and assist those with unique needs in all aspects of athletic competition.

    Grayson Athletic Association

    The Grayson Athletic Association  program is for children and adults with mental, physical and multiple disabilities. The league's focus is to give players a chance to participate in organized sporting events among friends and family. The program is designed for the participants and their families to have FUN, establish new FRIENDSHIPS, and enhance SELF-ESTEEM. The emotional and physical benefits for the players, their families, peers, and the community are tremendous.

    The program offers three different leagues with three different levels of play from the beginners to the most advanced.Habima Theater

    HAPPY Club

    The Happy Club is a Metro Atlanta YMCA program— developed and maintained by volunteers—that provides teens and adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to further develop their social and community skills. 

    Jerry's Habima Theatre

    Jerry's Habima Theatre is Georgia's only theatrical company directed and produced by professionals that features actors with special needs. Each year, together with local professional actors from the community, Jerry's Habima Theatre presents a musical theatrical production to sell-out audiences and much acclaim.

    Parkwood Farms

    Parkwood Farms Therapy Center, Inc. is a multi-discipline therapy center located in Snellville, Georgia. We offer non-traditional therapies both in a clinical setting and Therapeutic riding and Equine Assisted Activities, as our signature program. Dr. Peterson is the Special Olympics Equestrian coach for Gwinnett County and Parkwood Farms is the training facility for the team.

    Social Skills Today

    Social Skills Today provides Social Skills Programs for Youth and Adults with Communication, Sensory Integration, Social Interaction, and Behavioral needs. This is accomplished through a variety of camps and programs, including evening, weekend, overnight, and summer programs, that include drama, art, and social skill building activities.

    Special Pops Tennis

    Special Populations Tennis Program, Inc. (Special Pops) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that offers an adaptive tennis program specifically designed to share the lifetime sport of tennis with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Programs offered free of charge to all skill levels, including those who have never played, include year-round tennis instruction, league play and tournament competition.

    TOPSoccer

    TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a program for young athletes with cognitive, emotional or physical disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age 8-19, who has a mental or physical disability.

    Under Musical Construction

    Under Musical Construction, Inc. was the first private agency in Georgia to offer Music Therapy. It is also the only private agency in the US that offers Simply Music©, Music Therapy, and music enrichment for preschoolers and school-age children. Both individual and group music therapy sessions are available.
